This is week 5 of me participating in Stream of Consciousness Sunday with Fadra from All Things Fadra.

This is a day late and a dollar short, as usual when it comes to my blogging lately. I still wanted to participate so I decided to write even though it is Monday morning instead of Sunday afternoon. This post is a bit bloody, gross, and disturbing so if you don’t want to read on feel free to leave now.

Stream of Consciousness Sunday: Blood

SOCSunday-2015

Even though I am sort of a “television whore” – meaning that I watch everything – there are certain shows that I actually do love. Walking Dead is at the top of my list. This might seem strange to some of you that know me as I am a wimp when it comes to horror films and shows. This show, even though it is all blood and gore, is more about the human spirit to me. It is more about how to survive the other humans then surviving the zombies. Anyway, on to my point.

I had a particularly bloody zombie dream the other night and woke up when I realized that I had a bloody nose. Now my question to my daughter this morning was:

Q: Do you think I had the zombie dream because my nose was bleeding and that I could smell the blood or did I have the bloody nose because I was dreaming about zombies?

A: Mom, what is wrong with you? You are strange.

I think I was dreaming of zombies because I could smell the blood. I have a friend that says that she can’t smell blood, but I can.

So my question to you:

Can you smell blood?

This may be the strangest blog post that I have ever written.

This was my 1.5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…

  • Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
  • Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. This is writing in the raw.
  • Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.
  • Link back to this post (feel free to use the SOC Sunday graphic).
  • Add  your post to the link up.
  • Visit your fellow bloggers and show some love.
