With the holidays upon us my husband has been begging to know what I want. I just don’t know how to answer. Of course I want a trip to Europe, new shoes and a fancy expensive purse. But do I really? I have 3 nice purses that I don’t use. I lived in Europe for 5 years and have been back several times. And as for shoes? I go in flip flops until it snows and then I am back in flip flops the minute the ice melts.

The whole conversation made me think about the things I can and can’t live without. And I am not talking about food, water and shelter. I mean the things that my heart can’t live without. And all of the things I can’t live without I already have.

Things I Can’t Live Without

  • My family. I wanted to put the obvious ones first. Even though we all don’t see eye to eye all of the time we love each other and I don’t know what I would do without these guys.

  • My peeps. All of which I missed so much when I was on the east coast. You never know how much someone means to you until they are gone. It is a good thing that I have them back. Don’t put off being with the ones you love because you are busy or tired. You never know when they will be gone.

  • My Mojito. The cutest ugly dog you will ever meet. He truly is my youngest child.

  • Washer and Dryer. Lewis and I have been lucky enough to have only lived 9 months of our married life without a washer and dryer in our house. With at least 10 loads of laundry a week I really think I would not be able to live without them! I have these bad boys in my laundry room and boy do I know how lucky I am to have them!

So as you can see there is a lot that I can live without. Now back to my Christmas list…
