This Week:
On Thursday, Katie – from Adventures By Katie, and I went to the Real Housewives of Northern Virginia July event. There were a lot of vendors, giveaways, and networking.
I actually won one of the giveaways! I won a 60 minute Signature facial with Judy from Salon Khouri, in Fairfax, VA. I am so excited to get it set up and have a little bit of pampering at the spa. It has been way too long since I have done a spa day!
It was a really fun night out and I am excited to attend the next event!
On Saturday I set out with my girls and Katie to go to Brickfair in Chantilly, VA.
Here is a sneak peek of all of the fun that we had. Watch for a full post on Brickfair later this week.
Katie decided to stay the weekend so on Saturday night we started on a few crafts that you will see soon on the blog. We stayed up late spray painting, and spray painting again. Then a slug or snail CRAWLED across my wood while it was drying! It was gross. We had to spray a third time and move it into the garage to dry.
Don’t judge us on our spraying technique, we are not spray paint professionals. We left a black square in the grass but luckily the boys mowed on Sunday and it went away.
Monday and Tuesday were very boring since Lewis went out-of-town for work. So all I did was work all day and get some projects finished.
I did receive some fun mail this week. Several packages came with items for review so the girls were very excited. Watch for a toy round-up soon! I also got my first Stitch Fix!
I was super stoked about the Stitch Fix as I love new clothes but I hate trying stuff on in the stores. I hate the lighting and little rooms. I was completely torn on the Stitch Fix. I liked a couple of the items, and HATED the rest. I only have it set to come to me every other month so we will see how it goes. Here is a picture of the outfit that I kept. I forgot to take pictures IN the outfit so I will do that next time I put it on. Dark black skinny-ish (but not too skinny) stretchy jeans (not something I would EVER buy for myself or even try on for that matter) and a grey light weight top with cute 3/4 length sleeves. I think this will be perfect for fall.
Purchase Of The Week:
I am in the process of getting my office all set up so I was ready for a monitor to attach to my laptop. Everyone in my family has a laptop and then a great big monitor to “work” with. Okay, so all of the kids use them for gaming and watching Netflix but I actually need mine for work. I am loving being able to work out of my own office instead of kicking Lewis out of his office so I can use his monitor.
Have a great week!
