Less than a week until our big trip to Universal Studios and we couldn’t be more excited. My husband and I gave this trip to our kids for Christmas so we’ve got eight months of anticipation built up. I want to have a little trick up my sleeve for the plane ride to keep the momentum of excitement going. These coloring postcards are just the ticket to keep kids entertained on the plane, and give them something to look forward to when we get back home.
We’ve been Universal movie marathon-ing for a month. We’ve watched tutorials, and plotted our course for maximum park enjoyment. We already have our souvenirs and snacks to purchase planned out. My kids have been earning money by doing chores, mowing lawns, and washing cars for months. They’re saving up for an interactive wand in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Wardrobes have been selected and new shoes broken in. We are ready to say the least.
I’m printing these postcards before the trip on card stock so we can send them through the mail and have them survive the trip. I’m giving each kid enough postcards to mail one to each grandma, one or two friends, and one or two to themselves or each other. Coloring is one of our favorite plane ride activities to pass the time. It will be fun to share some of the excitement of our trip with friends and family who receive a postcard the old fashioned way. They will also love having mail waiting for them when home from our big trip.
I know your kids will love these and really get a kick out of sending out real live mail.
