When I first started looking at destination hotels in Park City, UT for an influencer event that I was running/managing I immediately thought of The Westgate Park City Resort Hotel & Spa. I have stayed there on several occasions: family reunions, staycations with the kids, and weekends away with my husband. I had an inkling that it would be perfect for the 15 person retreat and boy was I right!
Westgate Park City
The Westgate Park City Resort & Spa is a full service hotel & spa. PLUS they have restaurants on site so staying there all weekend – and not leaving is a real option. They have everything you need for the perfect luxury night, weekend, or week long vacation. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall – it is always the perfect season to indulge in delicious food or relax in a luxury spa day.
Lodging/Suites
I am not going to lie – I have only ever stayed in the suites here. I first stayed here for a family reunion where my husband booked a Luxury Four-Bedroom Villa for my family (the two of us, our 4 kids, and his sister and her husband). This is how I KNEW The Westgate Park City would work perfectly for the retreat. The Luxury Four-Bedroom Villa or The Presidential Suite, as it is labeled in the hotel, has 4 bedrooms/4 bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, large private balcony and a personal hot tub for the suite only. Right? Who could ever downgrade after that? There are a few things that the suites lacked in terms of kitchen gear for us (as food influencers) but almost everyone else would feel like the kitchens are fully stocked.
For the retreat we got 2 Four-Bedroom Villas and had 8 bedrooms for us to spread out in. This worked so much better than a large house for 2 reasons:
- in a large house you might have 8 bedrooms but you almost never find 8 bathrooms. And with 14 ladies – you need 8 bathrooms – minimum.
- 2 living spaces & kitchens – we were able to have one living room and kitchen for meals and the other for filming/retreat gatherings
On Site Restaurants
While at The Westgate Park City we had the pleasure of being hosted in both of the on site restaurants thanks to different sponsors.
Drafts Burger Bar
Thanks to Mediavine we were able to enjoy our first night’s dinner at Drafts Burger Bar. Featuring more than 50 beers and gourmet burgers, pizzas and appetizers Drafts Burger Bar did not disappoint! Widely touted as having the best burger in Park City, beer, wine or cocktails are also available from a well-furnished and fully stocked bar. Drafts is comfortable, with 10 flat-screen TVs perfect for game night. They also have a wraparound deck open in every season. Which is where we sat and had an enjoyable dinner even in 15 degree weather.
The service was amazing and set the tone for a great dining experience. BUT the real winner at Drafts are the milkshakes. Take I WANT ALL THE PUPPIES for example. It contains Oreo cookie, vanilla ice cream, and a (wait for it) a Ho-Ho – yes, a Ho-Ho. Yes, like when we were kids! A portion of the proceeds of this milkshake go to Nuzzles & Co in support of their local no kill animal sanctuary.
Edge Steakhouse
On our last night we were spoiled thanks to Westgate Park City. They treated us with a chef’s tasting dinner for the whole group.
Edge Steakhouse delivers a culinary experience that takes the traditional steakhouse to a new level. The restaurant is committed to supporting locally sourced and organically grown produce whenever possible.
They have full bar as well as one of the largest and most comprehensive wine lists in Park City. We had the pleasure of sitting in the wine room and it was AMAZING. I won’t getting too ‘winey’ about this part of our incredible EDGE experience, but let’s just say that their sommeliers and EDGE’s wine room diversity is probably why they’ve also been mentioned as the best wine bar Park City Utah has to offer. I honestly can’t put into words the lengths they went to accommodate our group – allergies, gluten free, and vegetarian. The waitstaff made sure that they knew exactly who had special diets. They spoke one on one with them explaining what they could/not eat. They even added a special charcuterie board to accommodate an allergy that they were previously unaware of.
On the last morning of our stay we woke up to a few inches of snow and it was truly magical. Our retreat stay at The Westgate Park City was a wonderful experience with amazing food, great lodging, and beautiful surroundings.
