This Week:
Obviously this Week In Review is actually the past two weeks in review. I was on a family trip last week and decided that I would (GASP) skip my Wednesday post. I know, crazy, but something had to give. The hotel WI-FI was so slow so it really wasn’t worth trying to get a whole post written with photos downloaded. So here is my last two weeks.
I started cleaning up and setting up my office! I decided to use the dinning room space in our house because we don’t use it. We are not very formal people and would never use a dining room even with company so I am changing the space into a room of my own. I am just in the planning and buying storage space stage so it isn’t done, but at least I started! Here are just some of my piles of stuff that I need to sort out.
I had a crafty day and tried to make pinwheels that I could hang on the fireplace. They were so cute and WAY too heavy. I made them out of card stock that I found in one of my piles. Next time plain paper for sure.
I had my first giveaway on the blog. The giveaway item was donated by Sterling Restaurant Supply. It went really well, and I am looking forward to my next giveaway (HINT: FRIDAY!).
My niece and sister-in-law were in Maryland visiting family so we grabbed my niece for a couple of days and had her over to the house. While she was here we found a semi-local pool (40 minutes away) for the girls to swim and play. The day was hot and very humid so I didn’t last very long but the girls swam the whole time and had a great afternoon. My girls sure miss their cousins! And now they have been able to see both girl cousins that are in their age range so far this summer. So much fun for them!
We always need to take a nice picture followed by a crazy one!
After we dropped my niece off on Tuesday morning to her mom, we rushed home and started packing for our family reunion trip to Connecticut. The trip was amazing, and fun, and hot, and busy, and crazy but we all had a great time. (Watch for more posts on where to go and what to see in The Poconos, NY and Ridgefield, CT area.) We love the Connecticut Simon Family and can’t wait to see them again very soon. My girls especially loved playing with their “big girl” cousins who were so kind and sweet to my little girls.
As you can see, I am missing from the picture above but it is okay. I took plenty of selfies to prove I was there 🙂 Even though there was at least one photo bomber in each one! I guess we are all related!
Purchase Of The Week
There was no contest. When I was dropping my niece off to her mom I stopped by picked up a little treat for us to eat. If you don’t know this place, well, you really should!
Have a good week!
