Back To School: Birthday Gift Round-Up

Now that the kids have started school you are going to be getting more birthday party invites. Since I just returned (July) from Blogger Bash/Sweet Suite 2015 (The Biggest Night of Play) I have all of these great toys, games, and art supplies that my kids have been trying out that I want to share with you.

I had my kids play with several of the awesome items. This year I let them decide what to share with you. This way you have kids telling you what they think you should buy for the birthday parties this school year. Here are a couple of their favorites.

Chrono Bomb

Chrono Bomb, from Patch Products, has been a top-selling game in France, is a super secret spy mission where kids use the included clamps and 27.5-ft. string to create a “laser” field to crawl through. At the end of the maze is the bomb, counting down. You have to hurry, carefully so you don’t pull the string down, and make it to the end to defuse the bomb! You can build new courses each time or try beating each other’s time! Kids want to play it over and over again because there’s no limit to how many different courses they can make. Great to take to take with you too as it fits back into a small box for storage. For ages 7 and up.

The kids LOVED this game. The moment I got it in the mail they begged to play all day every day. I let them open it and play the weekend before school went back in session and they did not stop for 2 days. They had a contest with the adults to see who was the fastest and then challenged each other to beat the clock. Great for kids or the whole family!

 Unicorn Popper

Shaped like a unicorn, this fun popper makes air-powered foam-shooter fun feel magic. Put one of the rainbow-colored foam balls into its snout, give it a squeeze, and – POP! – The ball goes flying up to twenty feet through the air! The harder you squeeze, the further it goes. It comes with 6 balls that fit nicely into a pouch that came with the toy so that you don’t lose them the day you get it. It is great for indoor play.

My girls have been “popping” each other for weeks now and they have not gotten tired of it yet. The nice thing is that the foam balls do not hurt! I even got my husband coming in from the garage one day and that began a whole sneak attack game that lasted 48 hours. It also works as a great fetch toy for the dog. He runs after it and brings it back. Perfect for the lazy Sunday when the dog wants to play but you want to watch football.

We have so many more toys and games to play with so watch for more reviews! I hope this helps as you are out shopping for birthday gifts this season!

*I received some, not all, of the toys in this review from brands. I was not compensated financially in any way and all opinions and the review of these toys are my children’s and my own.
