We were lucky enough to be introduced to some of the top gift items in tech this year. Our eyes have totally been opened up to things we didn’t know about from the world of current tech gadgets, and now we gotta have them!
With Christmas just around the corner I know what I have added to my list and I sure a few of these are going to be under my tree.
Ninja Coffee Bar System
I am not sure you could get a better gift than this one. Your mom wants it. Your grandma wants it. Your sister and best friend even want this. I want this – in fact I have this! My kids LOVE making hot chocolate with “whipped” cream on top and my husband and boys can now make their coffee the way that they like it – not the way the cooffee stop on the corner likes it. I don’t have enough room to tell you all of the great things about this so here is a small breakdown of the BEST things:
- Pod-free single serve and carafe coffee system with Ninja XL Hot & Cold Multi-Serve Tumbler
- Custom Brews: Classic, Rich, or Over Ice; or Signature Brews: Specialty and Cafe Forte
- Custom Brew Sizes: Cup, XL Cup, Travel Mug, XL Multi-Serve, Half Carafe, and Full Carafe
- Built-In frother (HELLO! I am going to save hundreds by making my latte’s at home!) to brew, froth and drink-all in your favorite mug
Alarm.com
While traveling, this is a must to know your home is secure. Easily access and control your smarter home security system and a broad range of automation devices like smart thermostats, HD video, locks and lights through a single screen on Alarm.com’s family of mobile apps. Alarm.com is exclusively available through a nationwide network of service providers that will handle installation, provide ongoing support and monitor for emergencies. The cost depends on the service provider (Alarm.com doesn’t set pricing), but it’s about the same cost as a regular security system: $100-$200 up front and $35-$45 per month and that includes Alarm.com’s technology, professional installation, ongoing tech support and 24/7 monitored security.
Honeywell Lyric Round Thermostat
This is another great tool to give you added security while you’re away. With the Lyric app, you can set temperature schedules, select vacation mode, check the weather, and even get alerts, like when your home’s air filters need to be changed. You can even control Lyric using Siri (Apple HomeKit) or Alexa (Amazon) voice control, your Apple Watch, and more! Price: $199
Philips Hue White Ambiance Starter Kit
This is one of my favorites. What a simple way to set the mood in your home. It offers natural light to help you wake up gently and go to sleep peacefully. It also includes four pre-set light recipes, including settings to help you energize in the morning and relax in the evening with warm white light. You can easily access the light recipes to help you choose the perfect shade via the Philips Hue app on your smart phone or the Philips Hue wireless dimmer switch. Price: $129.99
Griffin iTrip Clip
This handy device is my favorite stocking stuffer for the year. It cuts the cable between your smartphone and headphones to deliver the ultimate in wireless freedom to listen and control your music. Don’t worry if your smartphone doesn’t have the headphone jack. iTrip Clip connects your favorite headphones wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth 4.1. Price: $19.99 At that price you can get them for the spouse and the teens so that there is no fighting!
HP Sprocket
This is sure to be a favorite with my kids – or your friends for GNO. The HP Sprocket Photo Printer transforms your favorite smartphone or tablet pics into vibrant, shareable prints. This compact printer goes virtually anywhere; with Bluetooth connectivity it enables you to create 2×3 sticky-back snapshots whenever the moment strikes. Give your prints a pop of personality with the HP Sprocket App, which lets you customize with borders, stickers, filters and more. Price: $129.99
Google Pixel Phone
Pixel is the first phone with the Google Assistant built in. Which would totally be like having a personal assistant. My very favorite thing about this phone is the camera. Pixel has a 12.3MP camera, featuring an f/2.0 aperture and big 1.55 micron pixels to capture lots and lots of light. Catch action shots as they happen with Smartburst, which takes a rapid-fire sequence of shots and automatically selects the best one. Use Lens Blur to achieve shallow depth of field and bokeh effects, making your subject pop. Price : $649
Good luck deciding which one of these babies is your favorite. Santa, can I have one of each please?
