Abi turned 10 while I was away in Utah. I was sad that I wasn’t with her but we celebrated and had an ice cream cake with my brother and his family for her birthday.

She was totally spoiled for her birthday (as usual). Lewis and I got her the I-Pod Touch that she has been begging for since she was 4. I am still not completely convinced that she will be able to take care of it properly but Lewis thought it was time. I guess she has been able to keep that hamster alive for 6 months by herself (I still won’t touch that thing. It is totally cute as long as I don’t have to touch it).

My parents sent her cold hard CASH. Seriously, when I was a kid I think I got socks and underwear or a book for my birthday. She totally racked it in this year for her 10th birthday. I would have been happy with this stuff for my birthday and I am 29 (enter real age here).

10 Things About Abi On Her 10th Birthday

1. Abi is full of energy. She has 2 buttons, OFF and ON. And she is usually ON. She always wants to go whenever any of us go to the store, or to run errands. I like to compare her to the Energizer Bunny.

2. Abi loves all animals. She has a hamster, Peach, that she takes care of all by herself. She catches all kinds of creatures and animals and keeps them for a few hours and then lets them go. She helps out with Mojito (our dog) and Seven (our cat) daily.

3. Abi LOVES music! This one is great because I love music too. I always have music playing and Abi has taken after me. She takes music into the bathroom to listen to in the shower, outside while she is playing, and even when she is just hanging out in her room.

4. Abi is a dancer and gymnast! She can be found dancing her way to the basement, or out to the car. She is constantly flipping down the stairs, or cartwheeling her way to the kitchen all day, every day.

5. Abi is a girly girl all the way. She loves dresses and makeup. She loves all kinds of accessories. Jewelry, hats, purses, shoes; you name it, she wants it, she has it, she likes it. She always wants to look pretty and have an “outfit” on with matching hair, nails, and jewelry.

6. Abi is very brave. She loves roller-coasters. Amusement parks are her favorite to way to spend a day. She will ride all of the scary rides over and over. Even the ones that I won’t consider going on she will ride several times.
