#ClearProof VoxBox

For about a month now a couple of my teenagers have been using the new Clear Proof Acne System by Mary Kay. One of my teens is a sweaty boy who has what I would call moderate acne. My other teen is a girl who has beautiful skin but sometimes deals with an occasional breakout, as we all do. For both of them a clear complexion is important, but sometimes hard to get. That is where the Clear Proof Acne System comes in.

What is the Clear Proof?

The Clear Proof Acne System is a four step regimen that is formulated to clear blemishes. It is clinically shown to provide clearer skin in just 7 days. The system sells for $45 together or you can get each product separately. I have a good friend who’s kids have been using this system for years and they love it so I thought it would be good to try out for my kids.

Clear Proof 4 Steps

Clear Proof® Clarifying Cleansing Gel (4.5 oz.)
Clear Proof® Blemish Control Toner (5 fl. oz.)
Clear Proof® Acne Treatment Gel (1 oz.)
Clear Proof® Oil-Free Moisturizer for Acne-Prone Skin (3 fl. oz.)

The suggestion for the products is to start using them once a day and then gradually increasing to avoid initial excessive drying of the skin. My kids never had to increase the use. They each used it once a day when they showered and it was just the right amount for what they needed. I think if they had added more their skin would have become too dry. I was worried about them actually using it since it has 4 steps but both of my kids stepped up and did the whole process daily for 30 days. My daughter’s face is totally clear and she likes that for sure. My son’s face has had drastic improvement, but it isn’t by any means clear. Like most products I think some work for some people and not others. This is one of those times.

I think my daughter will keep using it but I think 4 steps is realistically too much work for most teenage boys to worry about. He is in a hurry to get going and just doesn’t want to take the time to do 4 things just to get his face clean each day. I will keep looking for a 1 step process for him that he likes.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all opinions as always are my own (and my teens).
