#CatVsMouse Influenster Box

The most delicious game of cat and mouse is about to unfold at your house.

Influenster sent me a Temptation’s Vox-Box recently to give the new Temptation’s Snacky Mouse toy a try. The results were actually better than I expected.

My cat, Seven, is about the most boring and quiet cat that you have ever met. She never plays with toys. She does stalk the dog and attack him when he walks by the couch but she pretty much hides all day and only comes out for her favorite treats, Temptations. She has been  pretty much a Temptations only cat for several years now. When she hears the pantry door open at night she comes running thinking that it is time for her treat. She will stand in the kitchen pawing and meowing at us as long as we are in the kitchen. Once we get her treats to put them into the bowl she pushes our hands away to get to the treat. It is her favorite time of day.

When I introduced Seven to the mouse toy she was a little confused at first. She could smell the treat but she did not know how to get it out of the mouse. She walked around and around the mouse about 10 times checking out every angle and side. She sniffed and sniffed but never tried to get the treat out of the mouse. She kept looking up at me and making a tiny meow sound, like she was asking for help.

After letting her try to figure it out for herself for a few minutes I tapped the mouse over and let her see that the treats would come out if she “played” with it. She caught on really quickly after I did that! Once she knew how to get the treats out of the mouse she was pawing it all over the kitchen floor eating the treats as they came out until it was completely empty. Then when it was empty she sat and pawed at it some more. When she realized that the treats were totally gone and that she was not going to get any more she meowed loudly and ran off.

Now every night before bed she stands in the kitchen waiting for her toy so that she can get to her snacks. The toy is a big hit and she expects it every night now.
