Looking for some fun and new ways to decorate Easter Eggs with the kids this week? Look no further! We tried a couple of new techniques to decorate Easter Eggs this year with great results.

Decorate Easter Eggs With Rice

Supplies

  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • White Rice (I think I only used about 1 cup total)
  • Food Coloring
  • Plastic Cups (one per color)
  • Plastic Spoons

Directions

  • Put 1/4 cup of rice to each plastic cup.
  • Add 10-15 drops of color per cup 5 drops at a time and stir with a plastic spoon until desired color is achieved (do NOT over saturate the rice). It should look fairly dry.
  • Put egg in and shake gently until desired speckles appear. We used plastic spoons to help keep the egg from sticking in the bottom of the cup.
  • Repeat egg in a different color until you reach desired look.
