2014 TV Premiere Dates: What I Will Be Watching

So everyone that knows me in real life knows that I am a television whore. I watch just about everything. I do have certain “types” of shows that I watch season to season. I also have rules about watching television. I can usually pick the new shows that will be canceled after watching 1 or 2 episodes.

Luckily my kids don’t really enjoy watching t.v. all that much so I don’t have to worry about them picking up my terrible habit BUT I do try to watch most, if not all, of my shows once they are in bed at night. (I do have to worry about their video game/computer game time.)

  • I like 60 minute shows. 30 minute show which are really just 24 minutes without commercials ares not long enough to get invested in the story line. I do have some exceptions, as I always have to my television rules.
  • I like drama over comedy.
  • Once I am 2 or more season in, I have to keep watching until the end of the series. I have invested too much time to quit.
  • I HATE live T.V. I always DVR my shows and then fast forward through the commercials so a 60 minute show is over in 48 minutes or so.

Here is the premiere dates for the majority of the shows that are starting in the next couple of weeks. Feel free to use this as your T.V. Guide, I will. I have separated them into my must watch shows (DVR) and my if I have time shows. If all of my “must watch” shows have a new episode and I watch them all it equals 18.5 hours a week. If  the “if I have nothing better to do” shows are all new and I watch them it adds 11 hours onto the week. That is 28.5 hours a week divided by 7 days it really is only a little over 4 hours a day. So see, I bet a lot of you watch that much television, movies, Netflix, and video games. (And if you don’t please don’t judge me too harshly. I also work 40 hours a week, keep my house clean while raising 4 kids, do about 14 loads of laundry a week, and read at least 1 book a week, if not more.)
